It is with a heavy heart that I must announce the closing of Chicago Literati. I have had the pleasure of creating and editing Chicago Literati, an idea born five years ago that evolved into a literary magazine that served the vibrant live-lit and writing community in Chicago and beyond. During my career as the editor-in-chief of Chicago Literati, I was able to interview many fascinating people, help publish numerous unknown writers, and review multitudes of incredible books.
Things have changed significantly in my life. Last September I accepted a position at a nonprofit and have quickly ascended the ranks. As my position has grown with this nonprofit very close to my heart, so have my responsibilities. I love my job very much and I know none of it would have been possible were it not for Chicago Literati.
Chicago Literati has meant so much to so many people. It was amazing to see my little magazine touch so many lives.
I’m grateful for you all. I hope you’ll remember Chicago Literati in your hearts forever.
